Enter the next era of interstellar combat in the Star Wars galaxy! With refined gameplay that focuses on the physical act of flying starships, X-Wing Second Edition lets you create your own Star Wars space battles right on your tabletop. Intuitive mechanics create the tense atmosphere of a firefight while beautifully pre-painted miniatures draw you deeper into the action. There are quite a few changes to the game but many things are staying the same to help you continue to enjoy the game you love. Here are some of the things that are the same and some of the included changes.
Same:
- Models carry over (some models may be re-released with new sculpts/paint/features)
- Dice are the same
- Range ruler is the same
- Basic game flow (but phases are renamed; some new phases)
- Maneuver driven by hidden dials plus actions
- Actions include: Focus, Target lock, evade, boost, barrel roll, cloak, reinforce, jam, coordinate, rotate arc, reload, - SLAM (specific action mechanics may change)
- Upgrade slots: EPT, modification, title, torpedo, astromech, bombs, missiles, crew, system, turret
Differences:
- New phases/phase names ("Strategy Phase")
- New tokens: Force, charge, calculate
- Force tokens which power force abilities for some pilots; they may also be used to change one Focus result. - - - - Force tokens recharge (see arrow by Force numbers on cards)
- Charge tokens which power some pilot abilities and ordnance
- New upgrade cards are full sized, landscape
- New upgrade slots: Force Abilities ("Instinctive Aim"), Configuration ("S-foils"), Gunner
- Resistance and First Order will now be separate factions
So, man your ships and enter the fray! The first wave of X-Wing 2.0 products are available in store today! Also, remember we do have casual X-Wing play on Tuesday nights at 7:00pm.
We are excited to be bringing in a new collectible card game at the end of the month featuring the beloved Transformers! The Transformers Trading Card Game is a battling card game designed for two players. Players build a team of Transformers character cards and power them up with a customizable deck of battle cards. Transformers character cards — such as those in the Autobots Starter Set and Booster Packs — are twice the size of standard playing cards; they can be flipped from bot mode to alt mode and back, and they feature premium printing treatment on one of their sides. The deck of battle cards features Action and Upgrade cards to enhance Transformers character cards.
To celebrate the release of this game, we will be running a special for the game. For $25, you can pick up the Transformers TCG Starter Set, two boosters, and a set of 25 hard sided sleeves for your character cards. These are available for preorder and will be ready to pick up on September 28th when the game releases. We will also be doing a demo night on Monday, October 1st at 7:00pm. Join us to learn how to play and participate in casual pick up games. We will also have some prizes and give-aways throughout the night.

Store Championship time is nearly upon us! Worry not though, you have one more chance to put your Standard deck to the test to make sure it holds up to competition. Our FNM constructed event tonight will be Standard, so bring your "A" game and get a heads up on the competition.
The Store Championship will take place on September 15th at 11:30am and will be free to participate in. This will be constructed format. All participants will get a first peek at the next set with a foil rare, full-art promo card from Guilds of Ravnica. Top 8 players will be awarded an exclusive Ultra Pro deck box and the store champion will win an exclusive playmat. |

Ticket to Ride is a cross-country train adventure in which players collect and play matching train cards to claim railway routes connecting cities throughout North America.
The longer the routes, the more points they earn.
Additional points come to those who can fulfill their Destination Tickets by connecting two distant cities, and to the player who builds the longest continuous railway.
